Spammers

Any chance of killing them, or restricting account creation to prevent them?

(This is why I prefer Discourse to phpBB - its far more robust against spamming scumbags, and usually automatically detects them)

Re: No GM's Sky - Uncharted Worlds

Acquired. It looks like a nice little framework, and obviously would work with Traveller as well :) I've been wondering how to use UW for exploration - the TV show _The Terror_ made be wonder if you could do a campaign setup based on the search for the Franklin expedition. But fundamentally I was st...

Re: Where do you get your general RPG news/discussion these days?

I vaguely follow rpg.net, but I also get a fair amount from Twitter / Facebook.

Re: A UW zine?

I think in this case its mostly a nostalgia kick for a certain format of publication common in the 80s and early 90s. Nowdays, people would just release a PDF. A modern example would be Codex , for the Gauntlet community, or the various Ars Magica publications that have come and gone over the years....

A UW zine?

If you follow Kickstarter, you'll have noticed that they're doing a thing called ZineQuest - a month-long promotion of rpg zines and zine-style publications. The rules are simple: gaming content, A5 or smaller, stapled or saddle-stitched format, and one-colour printing. So I'm wondering: does anyone...

Re: Uncharted Worlds Post-Mortem

Seems about right. In campaign play, debt didn't come up that often, and acquisitions were rare. In one-offs, its a great pointer to which factions to involve. In both why people had Debt provided a useful source of backstory and character. I liked the look of the new rules, but haven't had a chance...

Not sure if/when it'll find a home, but hey, it works as a free-floating document. Maybe I could release it as free material or Pay What You Want on DTRPG.
Do it!

Jump Points

A topic for posting Jump Points in. Here's a few of mine salvaged from the old G+ group: Trapped - Grand Starship, inspired by the Star Trek episode "The Man Trap". Betrayal - a room full of people with guns (in 21 Jump Points ) Missing Person - the characters arrive to find the person they wanted t...

Re: What are you working on?

I mostly write larps. ATM I'm about to start editing "Property & Propriety", a Regency-era larp of romance, vaccination, and land enclosure. When I'm not writing larps, I do marketing and management for them, via the NZLARPS . On the UW front, Star Trek: Discovery is making me think of ideas for big...
